We are delighted to announce that our latest charity partner is The One Heart Foundation and we have committed to helping them build a dual-purpose training facility in Kenya.
After a JDF board member attended several events hosted by One Heart and learnt about the shocking statistics of children dying from poverty [about 14,000 per day] we were moved to get involved.
Whilst our children safely go to sleep at night with a full tummy, feeling loved and safe, simultaneously the children in East Africa experience the polar opposite.

Whilst these statistics are overwhelming, there is something we can do to help. By partnering with One Heart, we can empower young children in East Africa to fulfill their potential by providing them with education, healthcare, food, and other essentials all in a loving and caring environment.
One Heart runs 5 sites – two in Kenya, two in Uganda and one in Tanzania, caring for 400 children and employing over 70+ locals from various tribes.
They say that Knowledge is Power – and we believe that.
Funds raised through the initiatives at the Jared Dunscombe Foundation will go towards building a skills training center in Kenya that will enable One Heart to provide vocational training, and basic business training to young people, empowering them with what they need to break free from the poverty cycle – making a difference today that will impact tomorrow.
ABOUT THE TRAINING FACILITY
THE PROGRAMS:
Feat. Street Business School
The multi-purpose training centre will run a variety of programs, including classes as part of the junior high as well as vocational and community training. One of the first to be established will be ‘Street Business School’.
